About Us

Lightning Steel originated in Tampa, Florida in 1995 under the name of Robinson-Moore Welding with a single welding machine in the back of an S-10 Chevy pickup. We started off doing small stair and handrail jobs. A year later the company was renamed Lightning Steel, Inc. We continued to focus on stair and handrail until our first big contract in 1997 which was the installation of all the rail and miscellaneous steel in the lower bowl of Raymond James Stadium. Lightning Steel has since developed into a full service structural, ornamental, and miscellaneous irons company offering all stages of fabrication and erection.
